I’m Elly, and I have been part of the Bermondsey community for over 30 years.

Reflex Refills began in early 2024 as a community-driven project at The Blue Market, when the charity running the market approached me about taking on a refill stall. With some initial support to get started, I did and have been building it ever since.

Before this, I worked in refill shops in Camden and Waterloo for 15 years, where I saw first-hand the difference refilling can make and how quickly people embrace it when it is made convenient and accessible.

That is what I wanted to bring to Bermondsey.

Today, Reflex Refills offers a growing range of eco-friendly and natural refill products at affordable prices, including household cleaning products, body and hair care essentials, and organic dried foods. We also stock natural wellbeing items like aromatherapy essential oils, bath salts, loofahs and natural deodorants.

We work with suppliers who take back and reuse their containers, helping to create a more circular system and keep waste to a minimum.

The stall has now been running for two years and continues to grow, and I am currently developing a local mobile refill service to make it even easier for more people in the area to shop sustainably.
